The REN Membership Policy defines who may join, how applications are reviewed, and the responsibilities and benefits associated with membership.

Purpose of Membership

REN membership exists to build a trusted business ecosystem connecting RUETians and verified business partners who can contribute to meaningful professional and commercial relationships.

The network aims to facilitate:

  • Business referrals
  • Partnerships
  • Joint ventures
  • Investment opportunities
  • Supplier and client connections
  • Knowledge exchange
  • Mentorship
  • Market expansion
  • Collective business growth
Membership Categories

RUETian Member

A RUET graduate who is actively involved in:

  • Business ownership
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Partnership
  • Directorship
  • Shareholding
  • Investment
  • Commercial leadership
Associate Business Member

A non-RUETian individual who has a verified business relationship with an eligible RUETian.

This may include:

  • Business partner
  • Co-owner
  • Director
  • Shareholder
  • Co-founder

The individual must be involved in a genuine business relationship with a RUETian entrepreneur or business owner.

Eligibility

Applicants may qualify if they are:

  • RUETian founders
  • RUETian co-founders
  • RUETian business owners
  • RUETian partners
  • RUETian directors
  • RUETian shareholders
  • RUETian investors
  • RUETian commercial leaders
  • Non-RUETian partners of RUETian entrepreneurs
  • Non-RUETian co-owners in RUETian-connected businesses
  • Non-RUETian directors or shareholders in businesses involving RUET graduates

REN reserves the right to assess applications individually.

Additional Requirements for Associate Business Members

A non-RUETian applicant may be required to submit:

  • RUETian partner details

  • Partnership agreement
  • Company registration documents
  • Shareholding information
  • Trade license
  • Director information
  • Confirmation from the RUETian partner

REN may contact the RUETian partner directly for verification.

Verification Process

REN may review:

  • RUET academic affiliation
  • Business ownership
  • Trade license
  • Company registration
  • Directorship
  • Shareholding
  • Partnership arrangements
  • Business relationship with RUETian members
  • Professional references

REN may request additional clarification before making a decision.

Membership Approval

Applications may be:

  • Approved
  • Held for verification
  • Returned for additional information
  • Rejected

The authorized REN committee or administration will determine membership approval.

Membership Fees

REN may introduce:

  • Application fees
  • Annual membership fees
  • Renewal fees

Applicable fees should be clearly communicated before payment.

Member Responsibilities

Members are expected to:

  • Maintain accurate information

  • Support the credibility of the REN community
Associate Member Responsibilities

Associate Business Members must maintain a genuine and verifiable business relationship with the relevant RUETian partner.

If that business relationship ends, the member should notify REN.

REN may review whether the individual remains eligible for continued membership.

Member Directory

Approved members may be listed in REN’s Member Directory.

Directory information may include:

  • Name
  • Membership category
  • Batch and department, where applicable
  • Company name
  • Business sector
  • Designation
  • Professional contact information
  • Company website

Verification documents will remain private.

Membership Benefits

Members may receive access to:

  • Business networking
  • Member referrals
  • Business directory
  • Business opportunities
  • Events and forums
  • Joint venture discussions
  • Partnership opportunities
  • Investment connections
  • Knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Mentorship
  • Community announcements
  • Member-only initiatives
Business Conduct

Members must not:

  • Engage in fraud
  • Misrepresent credentials
  • Misrepresent business ownership
  • Submit false partnership claims
  • Harass other members
  • Misuse confidential information
  • Abuse the member directory
  • Engage in unlawful activity
  • Damage REN’s reputation
Due Diligence

REN membership does not represent a financial or commercial guarantee.

Members must independently verify:

  • Business proposals
  • Investment opportunities
  • Partners
  • Suppliers
  • Clients
  • Payment arrangements
  • Contracts

before entering into any commercial relationship.

Membership Renewal

REN may require members to periodically:

  • Update company information
  • Confirm business status
  • Confirm partnership relationships
  • Renew membership
  • Pay applicable fees
  • Accept updated policies
Suspension

Membership may be suspended for:

  • Policy violations
  • Complaints
  • False information
  • Misrepresentation
  • Unethical conduct
  • Misuse of the platform
  • Loss of eligibility
  • Questionable partnership claims
Termination

Membership may be terminated if a member:

  • Provides fraudulent information
  • Seriously violates REN policies
  • Engages in illegal activity
  • Misuses member information
  • Repeatedly behaves unprofessionally
  • Damages REN’s reputation
  • Falsely claims a RUET business relationship
  • No longer meets eligibility requirements
Changes in Business Partnership

If an Associate Business Member’s relationship with the RUETian partner ends, REN may:

  • Review the membership
  • Request updated information
  • Transfer the member to another eligible category where applicable
  • Suspend membership
  • Terminate membership

This review does not necessarily mean automatic termination.

Voluntary Withdrawal

Members may request withdrawal from REN by contacting the membership administration.

Complaints and Disputes

Members may submit concerns regarding conduct or policy violations to REN.

REN may investigate internal membership matters but is not obligated to resolve private commercial disputes between members.

Policy Updates

REN may amend this Membership Policy as the organization develops.

Members should be informed of material changes.
